This is a blog where I continuously update about the progress that is happening within my classroom. I will make suggestions on great new books to read, extra practice on work that has been introduced in the classroom, and any other topics involving my classroom and students.

Unit 2
On Friday, we have finished unit 1 in science and now moving on to Unit 2 - Solids and Liquids. We are very excited to be learning all about solids and liquids. For this unit we will investigate the properties of solids and liquids, combine solids and liquids to make useful materials, apply knowledge of solids and liquids to maintain a clean and healthy planet, and so much more! You can check out the topics that will be learned during this unit by clicking on the link below, and scroll down to page 59.

Classroom Layout
This is a diagram of how my classroom is laid out.
As you can see there is round tables so that group work is made easy. We also have a reading-centre set up in corner of the class for the students to sit down quietly and read a desired book. On the other side of the class room we have a kidney-shaped table so that myself and a couple of students can work together at one time. There is plenty of room within the classroom for the students to walk around without having to climb over objects.
I have used this layout for a number of years now and it seems to have the best results for achieving the desired goal of learning!
